I am so angry with the way people are treating this mother. She does not deserve all the insensitive and rude comments being made about or to her. i know of this poor mother and all these people have no idea how she felt for her children. She loved her children very much and the father did as well. All of their family cared for these girls. I can agree and disagree with some people. I understand that she should have been awake and knew where about her children were but, kids are very smart and sneaky. Have people forgotten how bright children are? How many people are guilty of taking their eye off of their child for a split second and they wander off. I am more than positive that parents whether it be one or both parents have slept in or fell asleep and wake up all of a sudden and wonder where are the kids and what are they doing?! My point is that the mother did not drop her daughters off at the pond that morning by themselves and say goodbye to her and leave her to her tragic death. A mother would never wish that on their child, none the less send them to their death. To this mother I am sorry for your loss and I pray that this has been a strong lesson for when natalie returns to you that you hold her close and never let her pass you by. We will be waiting for her return to our center.

With lots of love,
        Ms. Tina

Once again the proper layers of protection were not in place. We can emphasize enough the importance of these layers. Please tour our website and view the video that was made for parents and pool owners www.babyotterswimschool.com and view the ten minutes for life DVD clip.
It is always a sad moment when we read about these. Being in this business for over 20 years because my child was found at the bottom of the pool makes me realize that parents are still unaware of the essential steps that need to be in place to finally stop all of these senseless drownings

Great adviced about supervision. The number one in drowning prevention. We are drowning prevention experts and also have been teaching children how to sa.ve their own lives if they fall into the water. We found that parents don't have time to read material or listen to lectures so we produced a DVD on layers of protection of which supervision is key. Please remember that it only takes seconds for a child to be missing and the first place you should always look is the pool. Take a peak at the DVD that should be in the home of every parent and pool owner

Why is there not a penalty if a child drowns in the swimming pool. We have penaltiesi for everything except where children are concerned. No doubt some of the parents are drunk and I often wonder if they are accidents or sometimes murder. The most annoying part is when the parent then gets on tv and inthe newspapers and advises people to look after their children something they did not bother to to. Then they start up a collection for the family God only knows why. The money collected should go to the hospital not the family. I think the baby bonus should be paid direct to the hospitals.
